The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has formally handed over Onyeka Obu, a native doctor accused of ritual killings in Enugu State, to the Lagos State Police Command.
The suspect, whose full name is Levi Onyeka Obieze Obu and is popularly known as “Ozo Ezeani” and “E dey play E dey show,” was arrested on Wednesday at the Seme border in Badagry, Lagos, while attempting to flee the country.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed the development in a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday. He confirmed that the handover took place at the Lagos Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja.

"ONGOING: @nigimmigration, Lagos State Command hands over suspect wanted in Enugu State, Obi Levi Obieze, to @LagosPoliceNG at the Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja. The suspect was arrested at (the) Seme border," Hundeyin wrote.

It was reported earlier that Mr. Obu was linked to a gruesome incident in Umumba Ndiagu, a community in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, where he allegedly kidnapped and buried multiple victims, including a pregnant woman, in a ritual pit.

Photographs from the handover event show Lagos Commissioner of Police Moshood Jimoh and Lagos NIS Comptroller DO Adebambo, alongside other senior officers from both agencies, participating in the procedure.

Mr. Obu is expected to be transferred to Enugu State where the case originated, and where he will face prosecution.
